This Week in Non-Chris Collinsworth News:

Some chick got arrested.
This dude's wife ran off.
This dude is still bald, not famous.
This guy got his job back.

What do all these stories have in common? I don't give a shit about any of them. I'm wondering who does. I consider my days pretty well full. I go to work, I eat, I sleep, sometimes I exercise or read books, sometimes I write on this web log thing. That takes up most of my time. I don't seem to have spare time to care about any of these things, let alone any of the other limitless bullshit that goes on in this world. Is that wrong of me? All of these stories were on the front page of CNN.com, so they must be considered important to the average reader. I don't want to tell CNN it's business, but aren't there better stories to cover? More importantly, aren't there better stories for the average reader to follow? I don't know as much about the news business as some horses (or horse's asses) on this site, but I imagine they supply a product that their readership demands. That doesn't reflect well on the average American.
I should start my own news website full of stories that only I cared about. It would definitely be the world's most popular news source for sports statistics, N64 updates, obituaries, college hockey, and Chris Collinsworth related media.
