Dumb people

This is kind an old piece, but its message is timeless. How do you respect people whose arguments and opinions are dumb? I hear people say stupid crap all the time. I hear it in law school classes, I hear it from people behind me when I'm standing in line someplace, I hear it on TV and in the newspapers. It's funny how some people seem to think their opinion is so important they don't have to apply any fact to it (this may be one reason why I'm generally skeptical of political science majors ... zing. Poly Sci is an interesting topic. However, it seems like the people who study it are more apt to go off on emotional, factually sketchy tirades.)

Oh well, as an old family maxim goes, "There are more horses asses in this world than there are horses."

Full disclosure: My girlfriend as well as some of my other friends are poly sci majors. They're pretty cool.
