My level of apathy is so high that they are starting to measure it in negatives: I now care so little about US politics/government that I make other people care less. Two consecutive posts downing our President is the top of a slippery slope, but when you jump out into traffic you can expect to be hit. You know it's getting out of control when I have to say something.
A stern warning? How stern? Double underlines, bold font, exclamation points? If I were Raul or Fidel Castro I would be laughing my ass off right now. They have been telling US Presidents since John Kennedy to stick it and this guy thinks a stern warning is going to do the trick. What are you going to do George Bush? Invade them? This guy told LBJ to get fucked. You think he's scared of you?
Maybe President Bush should force his scheduler to resign. He is obviously struggling to budget his day. I think he may be filling up too many of his afternoons with empty rhetoric time and not leaving enough for innovative domestic policy time, or even nap time.
The 2008 elections are over a year away. Is President Bush a lame duck at this point? What was the last policy idea he had? At this point I think we are committed to leaving the country's problems to the next President, because the only continuous domestic policy we seem to maintain is destroying other countries so we don't look so bad in comparison. At least we don't live in Iraq, where when a bridge collapses the cause is readily identifiable.
Let's do a quick run down of some of the domestic policy issues facing the country this second: social security, medical insurance, the environment, real estate collapse, falling dollar, prison overcrowding and immigration. Somebody tell me why I should care what happens in Cuba.
So here is my last question to George Bush: What are you going to do about it?

I think we should invade England because their superior health care system poses a serious threat to our nation's security (i.e. it makes us look bad).
TWO posts today? You guys are back in action.
